3D Mandala artist Takashi Furuya will be presenting his work at the WABI-SABI Exhibition in Chelsea, New York, organized by JCAT — Japanese Contemporary Artists Team.
Through color, beads, and three-dimensional expression, Takashi creates mandalas unlike anything seen before.
His current series, Love & Buddha, is a prayer for peace.
Each small mandala is only 5 centimeters square, but when 729 of them come together, they form one large mandala — a gathering of small lights, wishes, and prayers.
Inspired by his father’s experience of war, Takashi’s work reminds us that peace is never something we can take for granted.
