My Mission

My mission is to create world peace through art.

World peace is not just an idea to me—
it is my source of inspiration, and the force that gives me the courage to create.

In my “Love & Buddha” series,
I am assembling small mandalas into a single, monumental work.

Each mandala carries a prayer for peace.

 When small prayers come together,
 they create a powerful movement.

 729 mandalas.

The number 729 symbolizes the integration of the world:
spiritual awareness (7), harmony with others (2),
and ultimately, a greater purpose (9).

The project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2030.

Through this work, I express my belief that
when individual intentions and wishes connect,
they can eventually become a force that moves society.

At one point, I was told something that deeply stayed with me.

That I may have lived many lives,
repeatedly losing them in times of war—
most recently, in the Battle of Okinawa.

That the deep fear I sometimes feel toward others
may be rooted in that experience.

And that a soul that has experienced death in war again and again
may carry a role in this life—to speak for peace.

 It was a shocking perspective.

But whether this is fact or not is not important.

What matters is that I carry a sensation—
 like a memory—within me.

A feeling that gives me a reason
 I cannot ignore:
 to express peace.

If this soul has truly repeated the same experience,
 then perhaps this life exists
to bring an end to it.

That is why I create peace through art.

Even if I cannot fully put into words
why I am so deeply drawn to peace,
there is one thing I know with certainty:

The world cannot achieve true peace
by simply extending the same systems and ways of thinking we have now.

I believe peace is not something given to us,
but something each of us nurtures
through our daily lives, choices, and work.

When small voices and wishes connect,
 invisible intentions become visible forces,
and gradually begin to move society.

That is why I express peace through art.

Even the smallest intention, when brought together,
has the power to move the world.

Just as small pieces come together
to form a single, monumental work—
this idea runs through all of my creations.

A world where we live gently,
sharing a sense of fulfillment and quiet joy.

This is the feeling I hope to pass on—
to the present, and into the future.

The Next 10,000 Years of Peace

In “The Next 10,000 Years of Peace” series,
inspired by Jōmon pottery and figurines,
I explore new forms of art
to question the future possibilities of peace.

What draws me to Jōmon forms
is the deep sense of living in harmony with nature,
and the creative force that has been cultivated over vast spans of time.

 Love & Beads

 In “Love & Beads,”
I take objects that symbolize violence and war—such as weapons—
and envelop them in materials that evoke softness and light,
 like beads and glitter.

It is an attempt to transform symbols of destruction
into something that suggests love and healing.
